Dr. DeFoe Does London!!

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, and the recent International Women’s Day, I have been afforded the opportunity to speak at a variety of events in London; yes the home of fish and chips, the Queen, great theater and a host of historical sites.  What an awesome opportunity to do work you are passionate about, welcomed by folks who are striving to tap into their greatness, something that should be an ongoing journey for us all.

On March 18th, I spoke at the Women On the Crossroads Dinner and Motivational Talk Event, a social media network started by Sherry Dixon, former Editor of Pride Magazine in the UK and She Caribbean in St. Lucia. It was held at Collin Brown’s Caribbean Restaurant; awesome cusine, presentation and ambience. When in London you should certainly check this restaurant out!

The rest of my time in London  will be at events where I get an opportunity to inspire people and places!!

March 19 – An Evening For the Sisters – Dinner Hosted by Lilian Ogbogoh, talking about women as leaders and my latest book, Follow Her Lead:Leadership Lessons For Women As They Journey From the Backroom to the Boardroom

March 20 – The What Next Forum -One Hand Cant Clap Founded by Lorlett Hudson, The Grange Fitzrovia Hotel in Downtown London, where I will lead a thought session about taking personal passions and marketing them effectively

March 27 – The Ampod Business Retreat- AMPOD, Inc. President, Yvonne Witter in the London Countryside at Eynsham Hall in Oxfordshire, where I will be leading a thought session focused on quality and performance management tools for today’s organizations

Every trip comes to an end until the next time, will head back home to the Virgin Islands and my passion work as CEO/Development Officer of the YWCA of the Virgin Islands.
